Care Groups
Mission Statement
“Connecting people together in relationships to know Christ intimately, to love one another personally, to serve each other enthusiastically, and to reach the world obediently with the gospel message, all for the glory of God.”
GraceWorks Care Groups are for everyone:

A GraceWorks care group is an intentional face-to-face gathering of 3 to 12 people on a regular time schedule, with a common purpose of discovering and growing in the possibilities of the abundant life in Christ. This should be a casual time designed to build bridges into the lives of people.
Presently, GraceWorks care groups meet on the first Sunday evening of the month. It is open to Christians as well as non-Christians. Each host home has/provides a teacher who seeks to provide a biblical study with discussion. As you study God’s Word together, the intent is to discover a plan of how to apply Bible truth to everyday life. Every care group must serve as a place to equip, strengthen, and support the battles of everyday life.
Further, it is a place where you belong and are prayed for. When a group reaches approximately twelve members, they are challenged to spin off into a new additional care group and continue growing. Healthy care groups give birth to new groups. Although you may initially want to visit more than one group, the intention would be to find a group that you feel comfortable with in which you can get to know the people and grow with them.
GraceWorks Care Groups look like:
The time spent is divided into these four sequential areas:
- Fellowship - connecting with other believers and becoming a part of each other’s lives
- Bible Study – discussing Biblical themes with a strong emphasis on life application
- Prayer - coming before God to praise, ask, confess, and thank Him for all He has done in our lives.
- Food – continuing our relationship building
The components of each care group include:
- Affirmation – Small groups provide an atmosphere where you are affirmed, encouraged, and built up in Christ.
- Caring – When you need special prayer for you or a loved one; or help in a crisis, you can always count on the group to be there for you.
- Availability – You will be sharing time, insight and experience with other believers.
- Openness – Group life fosters deep relationships that make them authentic. Honest communication reveals our feelings, struggles, joys, and hurts.
- Safety – What is said in the group will be kept within the group. Confidentiality breeds openness.
- Outreach – The group is not only inward-looking, it is outward-seeking, looking at creative ways to use group life to reach those without the hope of Christ.
